Logistics

Tours operate rain or shine. Maritime weather can change quickly, and a little rain often adds to the dramatic beauty of the Bay of Fundy! If conditions make certain walks unsafe or unpleasant, we’ll adjust the day by adding more scenic driving, viewpoints, and storytelling stops.

Dress for the outdoors:

  • Comfortable, sturdy footwear you don’t mind getting dirty
  • Layers for changing temperatures
  • An all-weather jacket or windbreaker

Bay of Fundy weather can be unpredictable—even in July and August—so being prepared makes your day much more enjoyable.

We recommend bringing:

  • Water bottle
  • Sunscreen and hat
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Camera or phone for photos
  • Any personal medication or mobility aids you require

This is an active, adventure-style tour. Guests must be able to:

  • Get in and out of the vehicle multiple times
  • Walk at a steady pace on uneven terrain
  • Navigate stairs at some locations

Viewing platforms and benches are available at certain stops, but due to tight tidal timing and safety requirements, guests must participate in scheduled stops. This tour is not suitable for those who need to remain in the vehicle for extended periods.

If these requirements fall outside what a guest is comfortable or able to do, we strongly recommend booking a private tour, which can be customized to match individual mobility levels, pacing needs, and comfort preferences.

Yes. Washroom breaks are built into the day at planned stops whenever facilities are available. While some rural areas have limited services, we are typically never more than one hour away from the next washroom stop.

For safety reasons, children five (5) and under are permitted on private tours only.

Children ages 6–12 are welcome on public and private tours and can take part in our Bay of Fundy Nature Club! Each child receives a personalized Bay of Fundy Card with their name on it and completes 10 fun, age-appropriate challenges throughout the day—such as identifying seaweed, spotting special stones, and answering trivia based on what they are learning along the way. At the end of the tour, they earn a prize.

For both public and private tours, parents or guardians must provide proper car seats or booster seats in accordance with New Brunswick laws.

For the Low & High Tide Hopewell Rocks & Bay of Fundy Tour, meal arrangements are included, but the cost of the meal is not. Dining stops are scheduled around tide times and reserved in advance. Guests pay directly at the restaurant.

For the Hopewell Rocks Tour Shuttle, meals are not arranged. Guests may bring a lunch and/or use part of their 2.5 hours at Hopewell Rocks to dine at the on-site restaurant during their free time.

Yes—please let us know about any allergies, sensitivities, or dietary restrictions at the time of booking. This information is required so we can notify the restaurant in advance whenever possible.

Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle. Guests may smoke only in designated areas at certain stops. Please respect others and the environment and never discard cigarette butts on the ground.

Pets are not permitted on public tours. They may be allowed on private tours by prior arrangement, depending on the size of the animal and safety considerations.

Tipping is not required but is always appreciated if you feel your guide provided exceptional service.
